Fall Course Registration open now. Register today to get the courses you need!

Visiting students typically enroll in courses for personal enrichment or professional development, but it is also a way to experience Metropolitan State without fully transferring. This option is for students who are not seeking a degree. Applications must be received a week prior to the start of the term unless an alternative date is required through a partnership agreement.

How to apply as a visiting student

  1. Apply for undergraduate admission online. You can check the status of your application through eServices to ensure that we have received your application and transcripts.
  2. Register for classes during open registration.
  3. Arrange for payment. Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid. Tuition payment must be arranged the same day as registration.
  4. Once you've been accepted, learn about student services. After you receive your admission email (typically within 2–3 business days of application), Gateway Student Services is your first stop for everything from registration to payment.
